Counselling and Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy with Moira Legg

Trying to find a therapist who can offer support, understanding and a quality of care can be a difficult task, especially as it is often needed at a time when we are at our most vulnerable.

People come to therapy for a whole range of reasons, most commonly because they feel upset and weighed down by life's events. It may be that the cause of these difficulties is self-evident and we know where to turn for assistance, but at other times our problems are more complex and need the help of a trained listener to explore the underlying difficulties.

Counselling and psychotherapy provide a safe place in which to talk in confidence with someone who can offer an alternate perspective and yet be able to share and reflect on what is being said.

The therapeutic relationship is different from a social relationship in that it remains contained within the consulting room. It allows space and time to explore thoughts and feelings about past and present relationships and offers the possibility for change.

My consulting room is a dedicated room at my home, which is located in a discreet area between Stroud, Cheltenham, Gloucester and Cirencester, with plenty of parking space available. For the non drivers there is a bus service between Stroud and Cheltenham. Wheelchair access is also available.

A map will be made available when arranging our first meeting.
